Safety Tips for Driving Near Bicyclists

You already know how to share roads with other vehicles, but what about bicyclists? Legally, they have the same rights as drivers, and they are held to the same standards. Porsche Monterey has a few tips to help you share the road with cyclists safely.

Number one is to pay attention. Distracted driving is a problem for everyone. Keep an eye out for bicyclists, pedestrians and others. Make sure to fully stop before turning, and leave about three feet of space between you and bicycle riders. If there's not enough room for your car and a bike to ride beside you, let the rider get in front of you so they can use the entire lane.

Seaside streets should be a safe place for motorists and those on bikes. Stop by our showroom to get more safety tips and to test drive a vehicle.
