Whether you're a family on the go or just basking in the prime of your youth, it goes without saying that different drivers find different qualities appealing when buying a new or used car. Lucky for all you shoppers out there, our four-wheeled beauties have you covered here at Porsche of Monterey. And in case there was every any doubt, the automotive experts at J.D. Power and Associates are here to set the record straight.
For its 18th year now, J.D. Power recently released the findings of its annual US Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study in order to determine which model-year vehicles were the most gratifying to drive and own. As for why this matters to our favorite automaker, we'll let J.D. Power do the explaining.
"Appealing vehicles are simply good news for both customers and automakers," says David Sargent, vice president of global automotive at J.D. Power. "Even within the same vehicle segment, consumers are willing to spend substantially more on vehicles that they find attractive, provide the performance and utility they are looking for and have well-executed interiors. The vehicles also sell more quickly."1
From there, every automaker and nameplate on the market was evaluated according to 77 different qualities that covered on everything from sales figures and customer loyalty to trade-in and transaction prices. And when all was said and done, Porsche walked away as the highest-ranked nameplate for the ninth year in a row thanks in part to the performance that comes standard in the 2013 Porsche Boxster and the 2013 Porsche Cayenne.
Needless to say, this is a cause for celebration, so if you'd like to experience this industry-leading sense of gratification for yourself, our lineup awaits you at our dealership here in Seaside, CA. The appeal is most certainly there.
