When the 2014 Porsche Cayenne first rolled into our dealership, we thought it couldn't get any better. But knowing our favorite automaker here at Porsche of Monterey, it was only a matter of time before they outdid themselves.
And now that they've pulled back the curtain on the 2014 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition, the love for this SUV just continues to grow.
In terms of styling, the Platinum Edition comes with six different exterior color options ranging from Mahogany Metallic to Carrera White Metallic. For an extra dose of kerb appeal, they've even thrown in some 19-inch Cayenne Design II wheels, complete with colored crests.
Inside, you've got a two-tone Black/Luxor Beige finish with leather elements throughout, or you could just go for the gusto with the full leather interior option. Either way, you're getting Porsche crests embossed onto the headrests. Not only that, but you also have a SportDesign steering wheel with paddle shifters to look forward to.
As far as powertrain goes, drivers can expect 300 horsepower from its 3.6-liter V6 engine. Those interested in a diesel engine will also have that option on the table. Both will be mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, both will feature power steering and Park Assist systems in the front and the rear.
Unfortunately, there's still no word on how many of these models Porsche will be producing or when we can expect them to arrive at our dealership.
