There's really something to be said for having the world come to you instead of the other way around. It's exactly why most of us here at Porsche of Monterey do most of our shopping online rather than wander around aimlessly through the dreaded mall. We're also guessing that's why our favorite automaker takes such pride in their customer delivery program.
In the past nine months, Porsche reportedly delivered roughly 120,000 of their vehicles to customers across the globe, making for a 14.7% increase over their first nine months of 2012. In September alone, over 2,000 satisfied customers were presented with their very own 2014 Porsche 911 models, accounting for most of the month's 13,000 deliveries.
As far as the US in concerned, Porsche saw a 13% increase in customer deliveries last month in comparison to their August 2013 numbers. Year-to-date, that was enough to bump up their deliveries in the US to more than 31,500 new vehicles. Needless to say, the forecast looks good for the remainder of the year.
"We once again exceeded our expectations for deliveries in September. We are now in the final stretch of 2013," says Bernhard Maier, member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Porsche. "The vehicles presented to date are being launched in the individual markets, and the [Porsche Macan] model that we are showcasing at the trade fair in L.A. represents the next highlight."1
