As we mentioned the other week, 2013 has been awfully kind to us so far here at Porsche of Monterey. It's only fitting, really, because it's not every year that one of the signature models on our lineup turns the big five-oh.
In case you haven't heard, such is the case with our very own Porsche 911. And with now that the 2014 Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition is soon to arrive at our dealership, we couldn't imagine a more fitting way to celebrate.
As for what makes this beauty unique, allow us to elaborate.
In terms of styling, the 50th Anniversary Edition will have a wider body than we've seen in the 2014 911, plus redesigned wing mirrors, a chrome trim, special badging and Fuchs style wheels. In terms of powertrain, drivers can expect a whopping 395 horsepower from a flat-six engine that's mated to your choice of either a seven-speed manual transmission or dual-clutch PDK automatic system. Either way, you can't go wrong.
If this all sounds as good to you as it does to us, then you better act fast because Porsche is producing only 1963 units of this mean machine in honor of the year the first 911 rolled off the assembly line. Something tells us you won't be disappointed.
Or if you'd rather gain a base of comparison with a good old-fashioned test drive, the 2014 Porsche 911 awaits you at our dealership here in Seaside, CA. Turning 50 has never been better.
