Here in the Monterey, CA area, drivers enjoy gorgeous weather all year round, not only in the summer like in other areas of the country. But despite the constantly comfortable weather, we can still take great enjoyment from the summer sun, especially if we are driving in a new Porsche 911. The world of endurance racing is a high-profile and elite section of the motorsports world, demanding the very best from drivers, constructors, and teammates to combine for the ultimate victory. This past weekend saw the running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, undoubtedly the biggest endurance race in the calendar year, and it remained a closely-matched race right up until the very last lap, when the Porsche team was able to snag the top place on the podium.

This weekend kicks off the most famous endurance race in the history of motorsports, 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Porsche 718 Boxster made its North American premiere this past week at the 2016 New York Auto Show, following its world debut in Geneva earlier this month.

”In its 718 Boxster, Porsche is deliberately revisiting the concept of the legendary 718 mid-engine sports car. With its lightweight construction, strong four cylinder flat engine and precise chassis, it won numerous international races in tine 1950s and 1960s,” says Porsche.
