As much as we love each of the new and used cars at our dealership here in Seaside, CA, we know full well that car ownership can be a hassle at times. Whether it's the annual inspection costs or paying to get your oil changed, the charges sure add up over time. What can we say, no car is perfect, but one of the great things we love about our lineup at Porsche of Monterey is that they're as perfect as you're going to get.
We know, we know, we're biased to begin with, but luckily we have the experts at J.D. Power and Associates to back up our claim.
For 27 years now, J.D. Power and Associates have been putting together their annual Initial Quality Survey. The goal is to survey new car owners and see how many of them experienced problems with their vehicles during the first 90 days of ownership. Before we go further, keep in mind that two-thirds of the problems reported were a result of vehicle design rather than mechanical failure, meaning that the problems are a result of owners not knowing how to properly operate or maintain their vehicles.
So, with that being said, J.D. Power and Associates found that the industry average for problems reported during the first 90 days of ownership was 113 problems for every 100 vehicles. Lo and behold, when they made their way to Porsche owners, they found that our customers reported just 80 problems for every 100 vehicles. To put that in perspective, that's the least amount of problems reported for any brand on the market with the runner-up clocking it at 90 problems for every 100 vehicles.
Needless to say, it's a cause for celebration.
